Welcome to Brighton Memorial Library District!

The library is a great source of information and recreation! Anyone residing within the Southwestern CUSD #9 communities of Brighton, Shipman, Medora, and Piasa is invited to visit the library and obtain a patron card. With a library card, you’ll have access to books, movies, music CD’s, audiobooks, periodicals, magazines, and downloadable eBooks, eMagazines, and audiobooks! Because our library participates in SHARE (Sharing Heartland’s Available Resources Equally), you’ll have access to materials from over 470 libraries spanning the southern half of Illinois! We currently receive courier service four times weekly, and have tubs of materials coming and going regularly. Materials can be ordered and delivered to our library for your convenience, or you can use your Brighton Memorial Library District card at any participating public library.

Additionally, our library is equipped with wi-fi and public-use computers. Activities of interest to children and adults is offered. Delivery of materials for disabled persons is available. Please call the library for information or assistance at (618) 372-8450.
